Emigrating to the U.S. in 1992 as a political refugee — young, alone, not speaking English, with little money — Anna embraced the opportunity she found. Working hard, she earned a B.S. in Economics, entered the New York world of entrepreneurship and launched Anna Balkan Jewelry.
