Estebon Prieto
As one of the first artists in the American Studio Glass movement, Esteban Prieto, has operated his own studio since the late 1960’s. He blows each tumbler into a one-piece mold of his own design, and then wraps a freeform string of molten glass around the center. While the glass is still hot, he fumes the exterior with his own formulation of metallic elements to create the iridescent surface.
